WILLIAMSBURG, Jan. 4

Mr. Parks,

The following Lines were written last Year by a Gentleman who was then in England.

Please to insert them in your next Paper.

To the KING.

If the great good Man
Who studies to do all the Good he can;
If he that most sincerely loves his Friend,
Beyond the View of any private End:
If he that could heroically show
A Christian Spirit, if he had a Foe;
If he that's merciful, as well as just,
And obstinately faithful to his Trust;
If such a one, O GEORGE! be worth thy Care;
VIRGINIA must be so! -- For GOOCH is There.
