WILLIAMSBURG, Jan. 4
Mr. Parks,
The following Lines were written last Year by a Gentleman who was then in England.

To the KING.
If the great good Man
Who studies to do all the Good he can;
If he that most sincerely loves his Friend,
Beyond the View of any private End:
If he that could heroically show
A Christian Spirit, if he had a Foe;
If he that's merciful, as well as just,
And obstinately faithful to his Trust;
If such a one, O GEORGE! be worth thy Care;
VIRGINIA must be so! -- For GOOCH is There.
