Dantzick, Feb. 6. We are informed from Constantinople, that the Grand Vizir, who is in the highest Favour at the Porte, soon after his Arrival there summoned the Bashaw of Bender to give an Account of his Conduct; why he did not pursue the Russians in their Retreat? the Bashaw alledged the Grand Seignior's Orders, for not passing the Dnieper; which not satisfying the Grand Vizir, he ordered him to be beheaded; which was executed accordingly, to the great Regret of the People, who esteem'd him a brave Officer.
