Full Text

The man who tried to wreck a train on the Delaware Railroad yesterday about [time?], and no doubt will receive the full measure of punishment for his dastardly crime. Fortunately, a freight train preceded the express, or there is no telling how many might have been killed or maimed for life. The man, or men, who could deliberately plot an act of this kind are not fit to live; they are the worst kind of murderers, and the world would be better off without them. We cannot conceive of a more fiendish act, and our only fear is that our laws do not provide a punishment commensurate with the offense.
