Miss Waymon Edge, Atlanta's "East - West Grid Queen" of Luther Judson Price High School, presented the Ira Jarrell Milk Fund for under-privileged children a check for $3,000 on behalf of the Atlanta Chapter, Frontiers of America.
President Jesse O. Thomas introduced "Her Majesty" to the School Board and she presented the check to Mrs. Clifford N. Ragsdale. Expressing sincere thanks to the Frontiers of America, Mrs. Ragsdale said the $3,000 would be a great stimulus in getting the "Milk Bowl" games off to a fine start.
In her monthly report to the Board, Dr. Jarrell said the total enrollment as of October 26 was 104,140 - 62,465 white and 41,675 colored.
