MADRID, May 28.—The storm that prevailed in northern Spain yesterday was accompanied by hailstones of an unusually large size. In the provinces of Burgos, Avila and Salamanca much damage was done to the fruit and other crops. In Burgos alone the vineyards adjacent to twenty villages were destroyed. Many persons were injured. A number of deaths are reported of persons who were struck by lightning.
