The French frigate L'Erigone, anchored yesterday in our roads. She sailed from Brest the 1st September in company with the ship le Lys and the corvette le Vesuve,--These three vessels had on board 500 men, destined to form the garrisons of Martinique and Guadaloupe ; but le Vesuve was obliged to put into Corunna, having sprung a leak--L'Erigone convoyed her there, and took on board a part of the troops embarked in her.
The Erigone expected to have met here with le Lys; on board of which is M.de St. Juric, commandant of St. Martins. She has troops and military stores.
On board of the vessel, which is momentarily expected, are M. M. du Boyer and de Labarthe, second in command, the former of Guadaloupe, the latter of Martinique : M. de Vancressor. " Ordonnateur" of Guadaloupe : M. de Reizel, Treasurer, and M. de Villers, " Directeur do domaine," of the same colony.
The second division under the orders of M. de Millemague, should arrive in the course of three weeks. It conveys M. de Vaugirand, governor and M. Ge Jeutencel, " Commissaire ordonnateur," of this Island : M. do Linois, Governor. and M. de Guillermi, Intendant of (Guadaloupe, as likewise the officers of the administration of the two Islands.
M. Droue, who had left Paris for the purpose of embarking. had been recalled, and appointed a member of the Council of the Marine and the Colonies, formed 'to direct the affairs of the ministry of M. Malouet, who was dangerously ill.
