Arrest of A Supposed Murderer—On Thursday last a man was arrested on one of our wharves by Constable Arnold. He was taken before Justices Geary and Getty, and on examination was found to be the man for whom the Governor of Virginia, in his proclamation of the 8th of July last, offered a reward of seventy five dollars—for his apprehension. In the proclamation his name is stated to be John Dungy. He admitted that was his name and also having escaped from the prison where he was confined on a charge of the murder of his wife. The testimony being ample, he was committed to the jail of Washington county on the evening of the same day.
