Full Text

We last fall insisted that the success of the Radical party would lead to the adoption of Negro suffrage. The Radicals denied it--declared that it was not an issue, and the people of this county believed them. Two months have not yet elapsed and we have already the first instalment in the shape of negro suffrage in the District. The next step will be so to legislate as to enforce it upon the States. That they favor this, the Radicals will no doubt, too deny. Will those who honestly oppose these things take timely warning now that they see the real intentions of this party and come out from among them.
