Full Text

The people of North Carolina, in the late elections in that State, have administered a severe but merited rebuke to the political jugglers at Washington, who last winter succeeded in depriving one of their representatives of his seat in Congress. Mr. Graham, the Whig has been elected by upwards of 1,600 majority over Mr Newland, the Van Buren candidate. Wonder if the loyalists in the house of representatives will now be satisfied that Mr. Graham is, and Mr. Newland is not, elected by the people!
