Mirow Air Service

Pilot Jack Jefford in the Mirow Air Service "Duck" got in Friday night after making the regular bi-monthly mail run from Teller to Golovin and White Mt.

Saturday he made a trip to Taylor, via Noxapaga and Fox Bar, with freight and express.

Pilot Hans Mirow hopped off for Fairbanks Saturday, making the trip scheduled for last Wednesday, which was prevented by weather conditions. He had as passengers Don Leonard for Haycock and Morgan Davies for Fairbanks. At Unalakleet he picked up Miss Joyce Harris and a patient for the Fairbanks hospital.

The week-end has been a very active one for the Mirow Air Service. On July 16 Pilot Jack Jefford made a trip to the Kougarok with Bob Pherrin, who is making a tour of the camps in that district, to Taylor, and Graham Lammers, manager of the Fox Bar Dredging Co., for Fox Bar. He then flew to Teller and brought in to Nome Sidney Rood, Nome Reindeer official, and C. E. Rachford, chairman of the Congressional reindeer committee.

Pilot Jefford made a trip to Candle Saturday afternoon, bringing in William Blakely, Rev. Carl Carlson and Dr. J. W. Edmunds.

On a second flight to Teller he picked up Frank Reed, Leon Cubbberly and Ray Dane, members of the Reindeer party, and brought them to Nome. An emergency flight was made to Teller late Saturday afternoon, and Bill Guisler, was brought in to the Nome hospital. Dr. I. W. Wilson, secretary of the Reindeer Commission, was also an incoming passenger.

Sunday morning Pilot Jefford flew Mother Elizabeth to Pilgrim Springs, and Father E. J. Cunningham to Teller, and thence to Pilgrim Springs.

A flight was made to Golovin, Council and Solomon by Pilot Jefford, with Ralph Lomen, Carl Lomen, and Mr. Ellis Phillips.

Carl Lomen remained at Golovin, and Ralph Lomen and Mr. Phillips returned with the plane.

Pilot Hans Mirow returned from Fairbanks Sunday morning with W. A. Castleton, and mail & freight.

Sunday afternoon Pilot Mirow flew to Golovin with Joe Dexter, Mrs. George Folger and Rev. Carl Carlson.

Monday, July 18, Pilot Jack Jefford hopped off for Golovin with Sidney Rood, C. E. Rachford and Mr. Click, of the Bureau of Indian Affairs. At Golovin he will pick up Rev. Carl Carlson and fly him to White Mountain.

Pilot Hans Mirow also made a trip to Golovin with Ray Dane, Frank Reed, and Dr. I. W. Wilson, of the reindeer committee.

Wien Alaska Airlines

Pilot Norris Johnson made a trip to Taylor Sunday, by way of Macklin Creek, Arctic Creek, Dahl Creek, and Noxapaga. Elmer Seetok was a passenger to Taylor, and a load of freight was taken for Fred Yenney.

Bill Munz came in from Taylor Friday, via plane with Fred Yenney, and returned Saturday a.m. with a load of freight.
