District Attorney of Suffolk County Going Over Evidence in Richeson Murder Hearing.
Grand Jury Will Meet on Thursday and Matter of Killing of Avis Linnell Will Be Gone Into—Alleged Slayer of Girl Has Plenty of Financial Backing and Will Make Stenuous Fight to Save Himself.
Boston, Mass., Oct. 24.—In preparation for the special session of the Suffolk grand jury next Thursday, when the case of the Rev. Clarence V. T. Richeson, pastor of Immanuel Baptist church of Cambridge, who is under arrest on the charge of murdering Avis Linnell here on October 14, District Attorney Pelletier today went over the evidence in the hands of the police officials.
Will Make Hard Fight.
With ample financial backing, Richeson's lawyers will contest the case strenuously. It was arranged to exhume the body of Miss Linnell today and have it brought from Hyannis to Boston.
May Find Receptacle.
Incidentally it will be definitely known whether the receptacle which contained the cyanide of potassium was left in the pocket of the bathrobe, which was buried with the body.
