It is now pretty certain that Salmon P. Chase, by a narrow squeeze, has been re-elected Governor of Ohio. He has, however, to meet a Democratic Legislature, and will find his position for the next two years decidedly uncomfortable, as his whole policy will be completely condemned by the people's representatives. Below is our table, with such corrections and emendations as are required by the official and corrected returns. In our issue of Sunday, Highland County was erroneously put down at 247 for Payne, when it should have been 427; and Champaign 124 for Chase, when it should have been 237. They were included right, however, in the footings.

In the above we put down Geauga County at 1,477 for Chase, instead of 1,739 as heretofore reported. The Cleveland Plain Dealer of Saturday claims a gain of 642 in that county on Fremont which brings it to that figure. In Cuyahoga, Chase's majority is only 926, official. In Seneca County Mr. Morris, the Democratic candidate for State Treasurer, has 494 majority, and in Monroe County 1,325 majority.-Cin. Enq. of the 20th.
