The Atlanta Yankees battling to overtake the front-running Rockdale Rawhides in the Georgia-Alabama Amateur Baseball League pennant race, collide with the Decatur Braves in a heated doubleheader today, at Yankee Field in Rockdale Park. Game time will be 2:30 p. m.
The defending champion Yankees are in striking distance of the pace-setting Rawhides, who have been out front most of the season. Today's twinbill will have a direct bearing on the 1960 championship chase and both clubs will be at full strength.
Manager Willie Little, of the Decatur Braves, will rely on Arthur Nesbit, "Bo" Hawk, Bobby Hawkins, Melvin Smith, Willie "Chuck" White, Joe Field, John Anderson, David Langston and Luke Holsey Jr.
