LeRoy Williams, whom the sheriff took to Denver some two weeks ago, wanted in Missouri for wife desertion and who escaped extradition through habeas corpus proceedings, was taken back to "be shown" this week on another charge of embezzlement. Williams, when here, was civil engineer in the employ of the government and some people thought he was being persecuted when put under arrest by the sheriff. Williams was also living with another woman in New Mexico recently, whom he was introducing as his wife.-Cortez Herald.
