"I want to emphasize, however. that we came to give as well as to get," Vandiver continued. "A number of our members are seeking your products for import, in the serious and true spirit of making this a two-way street of commerce,"

Vandiver was loudly cheered by the audience when he concluded his speech with the statement:

"may we hope, may we expect that you will come knocking upon opportunity's door - as we are doing here on your threshold today. We shall meet you - more than half way"

A number of "people-to-people" conferences were held Tuesday morning and afternoon at the U. S. Chamber of Commerce here as the 35 Georgian executives met with a number of their Italian counterparts.
