Cleveland, O., Aug. 28th, 1925.
Hon. Harry C. Smith,
Editor, Gazette,
Dear Friend:-
I have read the latest copy of The Gazette through and after reading it, I can truthfully say: It is worth its weight in gold!
I admire true manhood-a man who, seeing injustice and oppression, dares, within the limits of the law, to expose it and, if possible smite it. You and I have frequently, during the forty-two years since the birth of The Gazette, been, as the Scotch would say, like two McNeils. but when I find a man, such as you, who consistently, and persistently, through nearly half a century, puts his race foremost in his life struggle, I take off my hat to him, as being a true friend of our class.
Long life to you and The Gazette.
Yours for the right,
John P. Green.
