SEX.

Sex, perhaps, more than any other subject, because of the dense superstition that shrouds it, provokes nonsensical comment. Even by the erudite professor of sociology who has reasoned out a mode of establishing a perfect society and the equally learned physical culturist who sees in dancing or other graceful movement a way to health, strength and beauty, even these generally display the popular ignorance on the subject and consequently perverted logic.

The statement that "man sometimes has a feminine mind and woman sometimes a masculine mind" is the purest nonsense.

The only difference between the minds of men and women also prevails between men or between women, and between all humans and the lower animals. It is a difference in degree or quality, not of kind, and is greater between the highest humans of both sexes and the lowest, than between the lowest humans and the highest beasts.

Similarly the statement of the physical culturist that "the perfect man or woman is made up of femininity and masculinity" is absurd,
