Presserville

Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Merriman and Linda attended the basketball games in Glasgow Thursday evening.

The Martin Leuenberger family and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Leuenberger were entertained at the Arney Leuenberger home with a luncheon supper, on Wednesday evening of last week. Then Glen McFarlane family called at the Leuenberger home in the evening.

The Clarence Brown family entertained the Carl Presser, Frank Presser and Boyd Nefzger families at a pinochle party, Thursday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Erickson and Dianne, and the Arney Leuenberger family were entertained at the Hans Anderson home, north of Wolf Point, on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Erickson were also invited but were unable to attend as Adrian was ill with the flu.

Glen Engen has been on the sick list with an attack of the flu.

Dean Casterline underwent an emergency operation for appendicitis at the Wolf Point hospital, just a week after his father was dismissed from the hospital after an operation for the same thing. He is getting along nicely and will be home this week.

Marjory Merriman visited with home folks over the week end during a three day vacation from her duties at the Deaconess hospital in Great Falls.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Thomas, Howard Wagner, Freddie Kalberg and Bennie Larson all of Circle were Friday evening callers at the Merriman home.

Mrs. Hilda Luchsinger from Parhall, North Dakota, was a holiday week visitor at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dave Will.

The Baptist and Lutheran churches in Presserville presented their Christmas programs during the afternoon of New Years Day.

Several families from this vicinity attended the basketball game between a colored women's team and the Circle high school players. Who was it said, "there's a fool born every minute?" We will wager that most of the fools attending that game had their eyeteeth cut and won't be taken in again like that for a long, long time.

The Martin Leuenberger family were New Years day guests at the Arney Leuenberger home. The Glen McFarlane family called in the evening.

The Albert Hoffman, Carl Presser, Clarence Madison and Richard Knoffle families were dinner guests at the Gottfred Homan home in Richey on New Years day.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Penner and Jimmy, and the Axtel Erickson family were guests at the Kermit
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Leuenberger visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Weerts of Scobey, on New Years day.

The Peter Olsen home was the scene of a pleasant gathering New Years eve, when the Clarence Brown, Harold Olsen, Art Mossestad, Roy and Carl Sorley families, and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Beck were entertained there.

Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Erickson were guests at the Carl Hill home in Wolf Point New Years day.

The Rudolph Berreth family had as their guests on New Years day, the V. O. McClellan, E. R. Merriman and Edward Casterline families and
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hintz.

Mr. and Mrs. James Crowder and family who are residents of Alaska were calling on friends and relatives in this vicinity last week. Mrs. Crowder is the former Veree Casterline and they have been visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Casterline of Culbertson.

The Carl Presser family called at the Merriman home, Sunday evening.

The Rev. Henry Lang family visited with relatives in Richey, Monday and Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Casterline and Luella, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Good and the Carl Presser family pleasantly surprised Mrs. Albert Hoffman on her birthday. Monday evening.

The Circle school bus doesn't like 35 below temperatures so refused to start on Tuesday morning in time to make the trip.

Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Schlepp entertained a group of relatives and friends on New Years day.
