Allies Improve Position
On
The Anzio Beachhead

Allied Headquarters, Naples, April 26—(AP)—Allied troops continued to improve the positions on the Anzio beachhead yesterday and heavy bombers hit an aircraft factory at Turin, headquarters announced today.

Other heavy bombers attacked a bridge at Pima, in north central Italy, and rail yards at Ferrara.

Thirteen Allied heavy bombers and three other planes were listed as missing from more than 1,000 sorties yesterday against the destruction of 14 enemy aircraft.

The raids included the pounding of communication north of the battlefront.

Allied beachhead troops have been breaking the toll below Rome the last three days with several late attacks in the Corano area in the central section, which have netted more than forty prisoners.
