Everett Sweeting Is Nominated By Kiwanis Club

Highlight of the Kiwanis meeting of this Tuesday, planned and introduced by Father Armfield, was a Round Table discussion on Korea and what the average American could do to bring about a peaceful settlement of this situation. This made an interesting meeting for the club members and the visiting Kiwanians from out-of-town who were:

Henry Peter, of Springfield, III.; G. Hofer of Chicago; F. Rachelor of Whitehaven, Tennessee; Phil Segelin of Cleveland, Ohio.

Isadore Weintraub gave a report on the club's work with the Little League. The club will keep a team in the Little League in line with the Kiwanis policy of sponsoring and supporting anything for the betterment of youth.

The Club nominated Everett Sweeting for the outstanding young man of the year, for his unselfish giving of his time to the youth of this community.
