The Press is this Morning Stop'd on Purpose to insert the following Performance, which came with a proper Recommendation, therefore it is hop'd the Public will be gratified,--the Truth established, or rather not suffer, by a fair and candid Discussion,-- and the Publishers consider'd only as Channels in the Affair, of no Party, and the Operation be for the general Good.

THESE are to inform all Persons that have any regard to the welfare of Zion, that we, that are part of the mystical Body of Christ, have heard Mr. Robert Sandeman four Times in his public improvements in our Meeting-House, and we have conversed with him in private, and have heard how that he has built his Church in Portsmouth: and it appears to us that it is built short of the true Foundation and that we look on him as one of those we read of in the second of Corinthians, Eleventh Chapter Thirteenth and Fourteenth Verses, "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel: for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." Second of Timothy, Third Chapter, Eighth and Ninth Verses. "Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was." And Jude, Eighteenth and Nineteenth Verses, "How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These are they who separate themselves, Sensual, having not the Spirit."-- And May the 3d the said Mr. Sandeman, preached again, without the Church's consent, except one Male Member.

In behalf of the new gather'd Congregational Church in Portsmouth.
