Full Text

Lecturer.

Prof. Banton, who was favorably known to our citizens, in years past, as a Lecturer on Chemistry &c., now located at New Market, made a lecturing tour across the mountains through Page, Madison &c., accompanied by George R. Calvert of the Valley. The Prof. has a fine collection of apparatus, and affords delightful entertainments wherever he goes. Will he favor us with a lecture &c.,? and George will be sure to come down, too. We will defer our editorial discourse about gases, street lights &c., until we have the lecture.
