It appears that out of town, with the exception of Berlin township and some collections made in Marlborough and Troy by Col. H. Cole, nothing has been done in the way of contributions. This is doubtless attributable to the fact that no one felt it his duty to take hold of the matter. At the last meeting it was resolved that a committee of two for each township be appointed to canvass the several townships for contributions. The committees have not yet been announced by the chairman but we presume will be soon.
We learn from Mr. Hills that many of those in town who subscribed have not yet sent in the articles donated. It is hoped all such will attend to the matter without delay. Our soldiers need all the articles called for that can be raised, and they cannot receive them too soon.
DELAWARE, NOV. 2d, 1861.
To the Military Committee of Delaware Co:
We beg leave to make the following partial report. We have received
119 Blankets, Quilts and Coverlids,
28 Under Shirts,

29 Pairs Drawers.
20 Pairs Mittens and Gloves,
1 Over Coat,
Neck Comforts.
6 Pillows and 2 pillow cases,
3 Pair Cuffs. and
$6.41 Cash.
There have been but very few things brought in from the country, and what have been are mostly from Berlin township.
R. E. HILLS,
C. C. CHAMBERLIN.
