WASHINGTON TERRITORY.
OLYMPIA, Nov. 8—Among bills that were killed in the Legislature today were these: The one doing away with the District Court at LaConnor; the one abolishing the fence law of the eastern counties, and the one creating Commissioners' districts in Whatcom County.
The bills passed included the one relating to Prosecuting Attorneys, defining their duties and fixing their compensation. Also the bill providing for the destruction of noxious weeds.
The bill exempting firemen from jury duty and poll taxes has passed both houses.
The bill providing for the assessment and collection of taxes in Kitsap County has passed the Council, having previously passed the House.
