Item. I bequeath to a priest to sing and pray for my soul, my father's soul, my mother's soul, all my friends souls. & all my Christian souls, for III years XXIII marc sterling:
Also I bequeath to the Abbot of Bury, my ambulling Nagge.
In another part of the above gentleman's will there is, "Item, I will and bequeath that myn executors shall leave at Lyng Hall, to him that shall be myn heyre, first, in the Chapell, my great masse booke; in the hall, the table dormys; all the brewing vessels and standards in the brew house and bake-house; also a gilt goblet that was my father's and a great potte of brae, 2 spits, a feather bedde and curtyns, counterpoint and bolster, 2 pillows, and one payre of blankets."
