THE MORRIS BROWN COLLEGE concert choir is scheduled to appear in a concert of sacred music next Sunday evening at Big Bethel AME Church at 7:30 o'clock. These talented singers under the meticulous direction of G. Johnson Hubert and accompanied by Dr. Grace Boggs promise an evening of rare musical enjoyment. The concert will afford the public an opportunity to see and hear a group that has distinguished itself through numerous nationwide broadcasts on the United Negro College Fund weekly series. In this capacity, the choir has been rated by authorities as one of the top performing ensembles. A bevy of outstanding soloists are slated to enhance the interest and variety of the program. Deserving special mention are Evelyn Sutton, mezzo soprano; Juliette Collins, lyric soprano; Patricia Maddox, contralto; Henry Porter, tenor and Clifford Marshall, baritone. The program for Sunday has been carefully arranged to include selections appropriate to the Easter season. This program is presented annually under the auspices of the Usherette Board No. 2 of Bethel Church and is offered to the general public without charge for admission.
