LUCAS BROTHERS OBTAIN
OAHU COLLEGE CONTRACT

Tenders for the construction of two dormitories and a refectory building for Oahu College were opened at 12 o'clock yesterday by the building committee in the office of B. F. Dillingham & Co. Bids were submitted as follows, (1) for the construction of both boys' and girls' dormitory buildings, and (2) for the construction of both the dormitories and the refectory building:

Bidders were asked to state the number of days in which they would undertake to complete the buildings. Time limits from 270 to 400 days were stated.

At a meeting of the trustees held at 3 o'clock, in the office of P. C. Jones, it was decided to award the contract for all the buildings to Lucas Brothers, who agreed to have the buildings erected and complete within 270 days from the signing of the contract.

W. F. Dillingham, at the Punahou reunion this afternoon, will present a report from the building committee giving details of the new structures of Oahu College about to be built.

It was decided by the trustees to go ahead and build the president's house and change Bingham hall into a school building.

The present house of the president is to be moved over back of the Preparatory School, where it will become the residence of the Preparatory principal.

The site of the College president's new home will be above the new dormitories on the slopes of Rocky Hill.
