A little son of our neighbor, Mr. C. B. Hall, on West Main Cross St., had a narrow escape yesterday week ago.

Mrs. H. was just starting to go up stairs, but was alarmed by hearing a splash in the cistern in the summer kitchen, and just reached it in time to take the little fellow out, who was to all appearances lifeless, and did not recover for some time. The cistern was covered, but in stepping on it, the cover had tipped up, letting the little one in.
