There was lately, at Henley, a numerous Meeting of the Justices of the Peace, and others, to take into Consideration the Case of Miss Blandy, which continued for near sixteen Hours; when, it is said, that it was resolved to lay the Case before the Secretaries of State, in Order to induce the Government to interest itself in the Prosecution of so barbarous a supposed Parricide ; but however the Case be, the Person accused bears up with uncommon Resolution, in the Castle Gaol; where she is confined, notwithstanding all the false Reports to the contrary. She has been sworn to administer to the Effects of her late Father, during her Imprisonment; which contrary to Expectation, appear to be of much less Value than they were generally thought to be.
