What has become of John Tyler's Circular by authority about office holders meddling with Politics? Gen. Dawson, a Locofoco, late M. C. from Louisiana, and recently appointed by Mr. Wickliffe, (whose son married his daughter,) P. M. at New Orleans, is out as a candidate for Congress! The "Bayou Sara Ledger" says, that it is authorized to say that he will serve in the 28th Congress, if elected, and that his name will be presented to the Convention, about to be held in that State. In the mean time, he assumes and carries on the duties of Postmaster, the commission for discharging which he has received.
