Illinois School Sends Clothing For Needy

According to Iliff McKay, Secretary of the Tribal Council, 36 cartons containing over 2,000 pounds of children's clothing has been received from the Woodland school at Gages Lake, Illinois.

Mrs. Donald Martin, fourth grade teacher has for the past two years conducted successful drives in securing food and clothing to send to the Blackfeet children. Last year the tribe received a half-ton of canned goods. All materials are turned over to the reservation boarding school for distribution to needy families.

Needless to say, Mrs. Martin, her assisting group and the donors of all articles have the sincere thanks of the council and the recipient families.
