AM&N Faculty Supports President

The faculty of AM&N college met in special session in the absence of the president and unanimously adopted the following statement in support of Dr. Lawrence A. Davis.

Because of the great esteem in which we hold President Davis, we feel compelled at this time to express explicit confidence in his leadership and in his moral integrity. For more than twenty years he has served this college well in various capacities. His services have always been in the best interest of the college and the State and have not resulted in any material gain for himself. We deplore any effort to disparage the character of Dr. Davis, the symbol of integrity here.

Arkansas has been fortunate to have him serve his native state.
We feel that the total emphasis throughout Arkansas should be placed on making the conditions of his work more tenable. He needs the type of living and professional conditions commensurate with the position of College President.

AM&N college and the state need Dr. Davis because of his rare combination of humane, creative, and leadership qualities that cannot be readily found elsewhere.
