Miss Sue Julian, of Greenville, S.C., will spend Easter with Mrs. Jack Stuart.
Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Conley visited the latter's parents in Morganton Monday.
Lawrence Morris, of Wilmington, Delaware, visited relatives here last week-end.
Miss Madge Finley has arrived from Parsons, Tenn., for a visit with relatives here.
Mrs. Terry Moore has returned to her home here after a visit with relatives in Shelby.
Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Davis, of Gastonia, visited Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Gourley this week.
Mrs. Charles McSwain, of Albemarle, is visiting her sister, Mrs. G. W. Giles, and Mr. Giles.
Bill Noyes, student of State College, will spend Easter with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Noyes.
Miss Jessie Parker, of Greensboro, will spend the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Parker.
Miss Nelle Snoddy, of Greensboro, will spend Easter holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Snoddy.
Private Edward Rowe, who is stationed at Drew Field, Florida, is spending a furlough at his home here.
Miss Blair Camak, of Rock Hill, S.C., will arrive today to spend Easter with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. D. E. Camak.
Mrs. Joe Noyes has returned to Marion after a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Briscoe in Knoxville, Tenn.
Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Neal, Sr., and Albert Neal have returned to their home here after spending some time in Sarasota, Fla.
Mrs. L. H. Bolch and little daughter, Linda, of Spartanburg, S.C., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Bolch and Mrs. Dora Nichols.
Mrs. Russell Johnson and Mrs. Jennings White, of Conway, N.C., visited their mother, Mrs. C. G. Cannon here last week.
Miss May Upton and Mrs. Wilbur Fortune left Saturday for Alexandria, Va., where they will work at a Naval torpedo plant.
Ensign Joseph Noyes, of the U.S. Navy, who is stationed at Washington, D.C., will arrive this week to spend Easter with Mrs. Noyes.
Miss Annabelle Londner, student of the University of Georgia, will spend Easter holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Londner.
Justice J. W. Winborne, of Raleigh, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Shaffer, of Burlington, will spend Easter with Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Noyes.
Miss Doris Hunt, of Lenoir, spent last week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Hunt after returning from a week's visit with friends in Austin, Texas.
W. R. Burleson attended the annual meeting of the North Carolina Grand Lodge of Masons in Raleigh this week, representing Mystic Tie Lodge No. 237 of Marion.
Captain Shelby Greene, who is stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C., will arrive this week for a visit with his brother, Ensign Woodrow Greene, who is also spending a furlough here.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Epley, of Detroit, Michigan, have returned to their home after a visit with the latter's mother, Mrs. Jennie M. Hall, and Mr. Epley's sister, Mrs. J. Y. Barnes.
Mrs. Joseph Padgett left last week for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. James Akers in Richmond, Va. She will be joined there by Ensign Padgett, who is stationed at Williamsburg.
Miss Ida Sue Allen, student of Blanton's Business College, Asheville, spent last week-end at her home here and had as her guests Miss Beth Hawkins and Miss Marcella Davis.
L. B. Coone is improving at his home on West Court street after an illness of several days.
Mrs. Harry Lentz and daughter, Happy, spent last week-end with Mrs. J. C. Upton.
Mr. and Mrs. I. Roy Brown have returned to their home on East Court street. For the past year Mr. Brown has been a patient in the hospital at Johnson City, Tenn. He is reported improving.
Pvt. and Mrs. Theodore Watkins and children arrived last week from Austin, Texas. After spending a furlough here Pvt. Watkins returned to Hondo Air Field where he is stationed. Mrs. Watkins and children are residing with Mrs. Bessie Watkins.
Rev. and Mrs. M. E. Hansel, former residents of Marion now residing in Washington, D.C., attended the wedding of their daughter, Miss Virginia Jean Hansel, to Staff Sgt. J. R. Minshew in Tallahassee, Florida Monday. Before returning to Washington they visited Wakulla Spring, St. Petersburg, St. Augustine and Jacksonville.
