Latest Eastern Intelligence.

We have St. Louis dates to Nov. 25th. The telegraph wire between this place and Marysville has been down most of the week, and we are indebted to the Sacramento Union for the summary of news given below:

The New York Alderman tendered the hospitalities of that city to Com. Wilkes, for his gallant conduct in taking Mason and Slidell.

Our troops are advancing into Eastern Virginia, and the Union citizens of that section are ready to unfurl the Stars and Stripes as soon as they arrive.

Already the old flag floats over Drummonds town. The rebels had laid down their arms and asked protection of Gen. Lockwood.

Extensive works are progressing at Port Royal. Guns are being mounted, and entrenchments extended for several miles.

Lord Lyons was terribly exercised at the capture of Mason and Slidell. Edward Everett, Edward M. Stanton and Reverdy Johnson say the right of Com. Wilkes to take them was unquestionable.

England, at last accounts, professed a feeling in favor of strict neutrality as to our national troubles.

The charges against Gen. Fremont prove to be substantially the same as those preferred by Frank Blair.

Kentucky has furnished her full quota of half million men for national defense, and says she will keep raising until the rebels are driven from her soil.

Jeff. Davis has issued a message in which he says everything goes well with the Rebel Confederacy. He says army operations will be partially intermitted during the winter. Government has announced no such determination.

On the 20th Fort Pickens opened her batteries on Pensacola. After twenty hours firing the rebels weakened, and the Federals took possession of the main land. Pensacola and all connected therewith is again in possession of the Government.

The great Mississippi flotilla was ready to proceed on its mission.

The town of Warsaw, Mo., was burned by rebel marauders on the 21st, to prevent it from falling into the hands of the Federals.

The Richmond Whig is desponding in regard to the future prospects of the Confederates. It sees nothing but defeat, disaster and ruin.

The rebel Congress is to be removed from Richmond to Nashville.
