United States Senate.

The terms of eighteen members of the Senate will expire on the 4th March next. Of these vacancies, the following have already been filled: Mississippi, Jefferson Davis, democrat. Maryland, Thomas G. Pratt, whig. Indiana, Jesse D. Bright, democrat. Florida, Stephen R. Mallory, democrat, vice Yulee, democrat. Pennsylvania, Richard Brodhead, democrat, vice Sturgeon, democrat. Missouri, Henry S. Geyer, whig, vice Benton, democrat. Delaware, James A. Bayard, democrat, vice Jno. Wales, whig. Rhode Island, Chas. A. James, democrat, vice Albert C. Greene. Wisconsin, Henry L. Dodge, democrat, re-elected. The vacancies in the representation of New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, Michigan, California, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Ohio, are yet to be filled. Mr. Rantoul, the democrat lately elected by Massachusetts, holds his seat only until the 4th March next, when the term of Mr. Winthrop, in whose place he was elected, expires.
