Tuesday Attack

A 25-year-old woman of a Vine Street address reported to police that a man forced her into his car Tuesday night and carried her to some woods off Huff road, and raped her.

The victim said that the man pulled up to her house around 11 p.m. in an old model Plymouth and asked her if she knew a man named Dorsey who lived in the neighborhood. When she arrived at the automobile, said the victim, the man put a knife about her throat and threatened to kill her if she made an outcry. He then forced her into the car and carried her to a wooded section off Huff road, stated the victim, and there he raped her.

City officers who investigated the call observed that it was out of their jurisdiction as it happened outside of the city limits. They turned the investigation over to county authorities with a vivid description of the criminal and his automobile.

Shortly after the case was turned over to the county officers, they picked up Bishop Hall, 47 of Rockdale. Ga. When Hall and his Plymouth were confronted with the victim, she immediately identified both, saying that Hall was the rapist and the Plymouth was the car used in spiriting her away.
