LITTLETON, May 18, '94.
Communicated
Rev. J. M. Rhodes, the indefatigable President of Littleton Female College, has organized a Christian Teachers' Assembly to be held this summer in connection with his summer school at Littleton. He will have distinguished men from abroad to lecture to the association, and it will be a splendid success with President Rhodes at the head. He will make it a success, for he is invincible as a promoter of progressive education.
In a few days he will issue announcements as to when his summer school will open, and will also publish circulars and announcements explaining and setting forth the objects of the Assembly, and giving particulars concerning it.
President Rhodes has secured a strong faculty for his summer school, and the attendance will be very good, even at first. Mr Rhodes. as many of his friends know, has had The Christian Teachers' Assembly and Summer School in contemplation for several years. He has only been waiting for the completion of his building. which now stands as an evidence of his wonderful energy pluck and enterprise.
Our citizens are taking great interest in the movement, and recognize that it will aid in the advancement of our town in many ways. Several meetings have been held by our citizens, in which the movement was heartily endorsed. Our citizens are enterprising and progressive, and will render all the aid in their power to make the assembly a success,
