Full Text

A Correspondent observes, that the only measure that Congress can adopt at this important period, to prevent further destruction of American property is to lay an EMBARGO on our vessels—stop all British ships from taking provisions from our ports—and confiscate every pound of British property, either in the FUNDS, or in the hands of private Merchants; until that Government shall make complete restitution for the destruction of American property in their West-India islands, and elsewhere. It is said that some British Agents, fearing an event of this nature, are transferring their property into the hands of their American friends!!
