Neighborly Neighbors

Ran Kendall is home from South Carolina.

C. A. Barnes is absent in Iowa on legal business.

Miss Lucy Meade Allen is at Petersburg, Va., on a visit.

Dr. Will Potts of Shreveport, La., is here to visit relatives.

John Rudasil of Long Branch is visiting his children in Indian Territory.

Mrs. John Beal spent several days last week with relatives in St. Louis.

Mrs. W. W. Botts and little daughter, Marie, are visiting Vandalia friends.

Pearl Via of Eldon, Mo., is visiting his sister, Mrs. Sam Bellamy, at Laddonia.

James Speers, the Mexico poultryman, spent a few days over at Fulton last week.

Miss Madge Kent, attending a school of oratory in Chicago, is home to spend the holidays.

Miss Mary Minor has been visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeptha Lake, at Laddonia.

Mr. and Mrs. Ned Turner are quartered at the New Globe, where they will be pleased to meet their friends.

Benj. W. Canterbury, formerly a resident of this county, now of Segundo, Colorado, is visiting in Mexico.

Mr. Everett Hill and daughter, Miss Iva, and Sidney Hill, of Belfrey, Kan., are visiting Mexico relatives.

Will Williams of Chicago is spending the holidays with his parents here, Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Williams.

Mrs. Lon Heizer of Molino, after a two weeks' visit to her daughter, Mrs. Mamie Montgomery, at Centralia, returned home last week.

Itt Turley, attending the school of osteopathy at Kirksville, is here to spend the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Turley.

J. W. Jones of near Benton City looked in upon the Message last Saturday. Says the big rain that day was a fine thing for many of the farmers who have stock-water getting low.

Frank Rouse of Omaha, Neb., is visiting his parents here, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Rouse. The father and son will visit relatives at Short Bend, Dent county, Mo., next week.

Noah Beagles and family, of Missoula, Montana, who have been visiting relatives in this county for a couple of months, returned home this week. Mr. Beagles while here had the offer of the superintendency of the Montana building at the World's Fair but he had a better place at Missoula, hence returns. Wish we could have kept them in Missouri, but see we couldn't.
