THE EMPEROR.

An Unfavorable Night—His Physicians Prescribe Arsenic

BERLIN, April 21—Noon.—The following bulletin has been issued:

The Emperor passed a less satisfactory night last night. His fever is somewhat higher than it was yesterday morning. His respiration is fairly easy. His general condition is not as good as it was yesterday.

Doctors Giving Him Arsenic.

LONDON, April 21.—A dispatch from Berlin states that the Emperor's fever has abated. After midnight he slept, but his sleep was broken occasionally by fits of coughing. Light colored pus continues to be discharged. Yesterday the doctors administered arsenic in order to induce sleep. The Emperor afterwards saw the entire family.

A dispatch to the Exchange Telegraph Company from Berlin, timed 9:46 a. m., says that the Emperor has a high fever and experiences difficulty in breathing.
