The Nicaragua Route. Number of the passengers by the Crescent City which arrived at New York, on Friday, came by the Nicaragua route. Several steamers had touched at Realejo, a port on the Pacific, and landed two hundred passengers. The first hundred miles towards the Atlantic was traveled with mules, then the Lake of Nicaragua was navigated in flat boats, which were also used in the descent of the San Juan river, in all a distance of two hundred miles by this species of navigation. This route is described as a very interesting one, and the climate is favorable for health. At present, the journey is tedious for want of facilities. A steamer was in San Juan river for the benefit of the travellers, and it is thought this route will be greatly travelled as facilities are multiplied. Two hundred passengers were still at Realejo when the expedition left.
