Terrible condition of England.—Late advices from Great Britain represent the situation of the English nation to be the most alarming imaginable. Government has been compelled to add ten thousand troops to the regular military establishment in order to repress popular commotion! the public revenue decreases; the lord-lieutenant of the West Riding of Yorkshire, (Earl Fitzwilliam,) had joined the Reformers, and been, in consequence, turned out of office.

In short, every thing indicated a tendency to anarchy among the people, and absolute despotism in the prince regent.
