Meteoric.—Memphis was slighted in the meteoric line, and our citizens will have to be patient and wait for the next exhibition, which will take place during the coming century. New York, Washington and Cincinnati were slightly favored on Tuesday night, while the Atlantic cable tells us that at the Greenwich Observatory the meteoric showers occurred between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Five thousand fell in an hour, illuminating the whole heavens. They were red, blue, green, orange and amber, and one of an unusual hue left a trail of flame for a minute and a half.
