Most of the crimes which have blackened her history have been committed by persons who were not residents there, but who chose that as their field of operations, because of the supposed lawless condition of things. They reckoned without their host and have been as promptly and severely dealt with as they would have been in any community. With a number one agricultural and stock country surrounding her; with the enterprise and grit of her citizens manifested on all occasions, Wichita has a bright future before her.
