Full Text

MELANCHOLY.

"On Wednesday the 14th instant, as two or three women and a girl were walking to visit a friend in the town of Livermore, (County of Cumberland) they were overtaken by a shower; but happened to be near a new house, that was unfinished and uninhabited, they went in for shelter. They had not been there many minutes, before a violent gust of wind took the building, which it instantly demolished. The unhappy females were buried in the ruins, two of whom soon died of their wounds, and a third was miserably wounded, having an arm and a thigh broken, so that the bone of the latter appeared several inches through the flesh; but we are happy to learn there are hopes of her recovery."
