REV. TYLER IS TAKEN ON FISHING TRIP
PRESIDING ELDER ENJOYS ANGLING THURSDAY IN COMPANY WITH SEVERAL OTHERS
Rev. R. L. Tyler, presiding elder of the Miami District of the Methodist church, who was holding several conferences with the various churches in Key West gave over Thursday to the pleasure of angling, and proved himself to be a master of the fishing line.
He was not alone, however. His fishing companions were Rev. Joe Tolle, First Methodist church; Rev. J. P. Lilly, Fleming Street church; Rev. O. C. Howell, Ley Memorial church; C. Sam B. Curry, Norman Lowe and Captain Alberto Camero, of the Police department.
The party went out on Captain Camero's launch, reached Crawfish Bar, and immediately began fishing. Before they realized their success, they had secured a large number of fish, principally hogfish, yellowtail, and many porgies.
They decided that the best thing to do was to have a good fish fry, and preparations were started and a spread fit for tired fishermen was soon in readiness.
They fell to and ate heartily until they were all happily satisfied. Rev. Howell caught the first fish, but Dr. Tyler caught the most, and is declared to have eaten more than the others.
After the delicious dinner, they decided to give some thought of those who were at home, and started fishing again. They soon had a fine catch, which was brought to the city for families and friends.
Rev. Joe Tolle was interrupted at dinner yesterday and was even then enjoying a dinner at which yellowtail was the principal item, but that did not make him forget to say that Rev. Tyler, who is a forceful speaker, immensely enjoyed the fishing outing as well as the other members of the party.
