A BISHOP'S VIEWS ON HOME RULE.

The Most Rev. Dr. McKenna, Bishop of Clogher, conveying a vote of thanks to Rev. Dr. McCaffrey, Maynooth, for his lecture on "Grattan's Parliament," in Monaghan on Sunday night, said they could not hope at present to gain the independence enjoyed by Grattan's parliament, but they should insist strongly on an independence in those things that effect the welfare of Ireland, and should instruct their representatives in parliament to see that the financial clauses of the bill were such as would benefit Ireland.

Rev. Dr. McCaffrey said he would favor a two-house parliament in Dublin, the upper house to be elected by the Co. Councils, and the two houses sitting together to select the Irish representation in the imperial parliament.
