Seven membership renewals in the Akron University Associates program for 1960 were reported at the monthly meeting of The University of Akron Board of Directors, Tuesday, March 15.
Renewals were made by the Good-year Tire and Rubber, The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company, the M. O'Neil Company, Motor Cargo, First National Bank, Bridgwater Machine Company and the Cotter Foundation.
Over $17,000 has been contributed by alumni and friends of the University during the current Alumni Fund Drive, which is still in progress.
The B. F. Goodrich Company contributed $465 in matching gifts from alumni in 1959.
A gift of $1,000 was also announced from the Midwest Rubber Reclaiming Company of St. Louis.
The Estate of the late Miss Charlotte E. Steckhan, included a $1,500 bequest to the University for scholarships.
