By the Courier from Albany we learn. That by the last Accounts that were received there from Crown-Point, the General still continued there, and was using his utmost Endeavours to get the Fort effectually completed in Season ; and which, when done, .will be the finest and strongest that was ever yet built in North America :--That the Troops were all in good Health and high Spirits, obeying their Orders with right good Will, Alacrity, and Dispatch.

--That on the 1st Inst. they launch'd another Vessel there, viz. a Brig of 200 Tons, to carry 20 nine pounders, besides Swivels; that they were also building another Rindoe, to carry 6 twenty four pounders, which, with the Row.Galleys. who also carry a twelve pounder, and the other Vessels they have already finish'd there, 'twas tho't they would be superiour to the French Naval Force on that Lake, and that they would be ready to proceed to St. John's by the 10th or 12th of this Month, at which Time 'twas said General Gage with the Troops with him would be on their Way to Oswegatchy,or La Galette. --The French Force on the Lake, consists of 2 Sloops,a Schooner,and a small Brig.
