JAILED ON REQUEST OF MRS. CLEVELAND.

PRINCETON, Feb. 16. - Arrested at the request of Mrs. Grover Cleveland, William Lahey, a local farmer, is being detained here today for examination as to his mental condition. Lahey's wife, who sells garden truck to many of the prominent residents of the college colony, recently told Mrs. Cleveland that her husband had repeatedly threatened to kill her and their children.

Mrs. Cleveland thought that for the safety of the family the farmer should be put in prison or in an asylum, and she accordingly asked Prosecutor Crossley to act.
